Geryah Dingle, Floridian indie Contemporary Christian folk-pop artist, is back with a new track, joining forces with VORANAH, a South Korean record producer, for "Wonderer (You Stayed with Me)."

"Wonderer" is a song Geryah wrote about aspiring to the highest quality of life by seeking new opportunities and experiences. The lyrics draw on the many places she's traveled throughout her life and use a road trip analogy that translates to our daily walk with Christ. At its core, the song tells us that no matter the circumstance, Christ is with you.

With her latest release, dropping on 20 May 2022, Geryah and VORANAH teamed up for a second time with the uplifting new single, "Wonderer (You Stayed with Me)." Unlike their previous "Starting Over" collaboration where VORANAH was the recording engineer, "Wonderer" sees the duo back in the studio with VORANAH producing the track.

Geryah wrote the original lyrics and composition back in October 2021 in one sitting over a couple of hours. She notes, "I sat down initially with my electric guitar just noodling, and unfortunately or conveniently, you decide, I started on the all too familiar G to C chord progression." Once she realized she would be jamming on this chord progression for a while, she switched to her acoustic/electric guitar, input some slight chord changes starting from the bridge to give some emotions, and finished the entire song.

It was not until December 2021 that Geryah was back in the studio recording the vocals for the new single. VORANAH started working on the production and finished in about three months with the original and soon-to-be-released acoustic piano remix. We started with just my iPhone demo recording and a brief discussion about my inspiration for the song.

We kicked around a few ideas for reference tracks to shape the sound and landed on the country-pop vibe of "Everywhere" by Time McGraw, the bridge build-up of songs like "Give Me Love" by Ed Sheeran or "King of My Heart" and "Raise a Hallelujah" (background gang vocals) by Bethel Music, and an ending chorus like "Give Me Love" by Ed Sheeran or "Blue" by Mai Yamane.

We settled on acoustic guitar for rhythm and arpeggio, a fingered electric bass, and acoustic drums for instrumentation. The song has its journey where it gets intense and resolves beautifully at the end.

I'm incredibly excited to release this acoustic-based jam with elemental simplicity. This song reminds us to get out of our heads and keep the faith because Christ is always with us.

Listen to "Wonderer (You Stayed with Me)" on 20 May 2022 on all platforms.
